So for all those who know anything at all about music...
While at choir practice this evening and I thought to myself... why do they call them "accidentals" when they put them in there on purpose?! It truly is STUPID and doesn't make any sense at all to me.
Just curious.

Good question! And why are two pianos (pp) quieter than one piano (p)?
Hmmm... very good question 'cause two fortes (FF) are louder than one forte (F).
I think whoever came up with this should have been fired.
Blame the Italians.
Why do you park in a driveway, but drive on a parkway?
Why is the black box on an airplane orange?
And if the black box on an airplane is always going to survive the crash, why don't they make the entire plane out of that material??
My head hurts now.
Hmm...good question, Stacy. I have a feeling it would be super-duper expensive to make an entire plane out of that material though. And you know all of the airlines aren't exactly raking in the dough these days
Not to mention that just because the plane is made of the metal (that would be titanium I believe) does it mean that people will survive the wreck - they would just find less body parts scattered.
The black boxes were complaining that they were being passed over for promotion because they were black - so they painted them all orange. Ya know, affirmative action.
Well, I guess that's one way to put an end to boxism, but it sounds kinda liberal to me.
